Director of Banquets
Our Client is a top catering and restaurant group in Florida. We are seeking a Director of Banquets to oversee the catering department. This position reports to the VP of Culinary Services and Director of Catering Operations with 5 direct reports with over 100 indirect reports. This position will be the 'Face' of the company and leading the front line.
The Ideal Candidate will have a minimum of 2 years in restaurant management and 2-3 years as a banquet manager in a Hotel or off site Catering Company. This person will need to have a College/University Degree, preferably in Hotel or Culinary Management. They will need to have proficient computer skills and the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely both verbally and written. They will need to be hands on with strong food and beverage knowledge, well-experienced in menu design and writing, sales & promotion, budget and P&L reports, as well as general managerial experience including staff hiring, training, conducting meetings, and ordering material.
The person needs to be innovative, flexible in working hours, can meet tight deadlines, and can produce different types of functions and events.
US citizen or Green Card holders are preferred or if you are currently working in the USA.
Must be fluent in English. Knowledge of Spanish is an asset.
Salary: $50 000 - $60 000 USD
